Annie earned a Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Her desire to become a therapist began during the five years she spent in Buenos Aires, Argentina, when, in 2008, she taught in a bilingual school. She realized first-hand the impact that social-emotional needs have on learning and found herself drawn to helping individuals with issues that hinder their personal lives and emotional well-being.   

Annie utilizes evidence-based strategies in working with clients throughout the lifespan. She has over 90 hours of training utilizing the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model, and enjoys helping clients access new perspectives on the parts of life that are yearning for change and transformation. By creating a safe container where you can resource your own inner-wisdom, Annie will help you will feel more equipped to navigate through life’s challenges.

She specializes in working with adults through various transitions, and can provide support with parenting challenges, family changes, anxiety, depression, trauma, and women’s issues. Since having children, she has been drawn to helping women through the joys and challenges of parenthood and sought her specialization in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. Annie has also completed  a seminar through The Family Institute regarding transitions to parenthood and post-partum sexuality.
