Rachel earned her Bachelors of Science in Human Performance from Texas A&M University-Commerce. From there, she entered the field of fitness as a Fitness and Nutrition Coach. Over the past 15 years, Rachel has helped people transform their health and habits and noticed how much addressing mental and emotional barriers helped contribute to their overall well-being.  In 2020, Rachel decided to pursue her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Adler University in Chicago, and upon graduation, began working with youth and families in the community mental health space.

While working with youth and families, Rachel became passionate about working with individuals hoping to improve relational/familial dynamics, coping with life transitions, trauma, grief and ADHD. Rachel recently received her certification to be a ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider, making her highly skilled in the field of identifying and treating the range of symptoms for those experiencing executive functioning and emotional regulation challenges.

One of Rachel’s primary focuses in therapy is to help her clients develop a strong sense of self-esteem and self-efficacy. Rachel employs CBT, DBT, and strength’s based approaches to help clients cultivate new strategies. Rachel enjoys guiding clients towards new insights as they work to instill healthier core beliefs. She often integrates the mind and body connection as she believes both are equally important for overall mental well-being.

When she’s not in the office you can find her in the gym, reading books with her fur babies or spending time with her husband hiking.
