Jordyn Toia, LCPC
She/Her/Hers

Specialties: Anxiety/Depression/Body Based Concerns/Trauma/Sports & Elite Athletes/Chronic Illness & Pain/Teens/Adults

Jordyn earned a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University, Bloomington. She attended Boston University for graduate school where she earned a Masters in Counseling with a concentration in Sport and Health Psychology. Throughout her personal experiences in athletics and coursework in health sciences, Jordyn became fascinated with the mental and emotional components of health, performance, and lifestyle. This strongly informs her clinical work today, as she aims to provide care that recognizes the inseparable nature of mind and body.

Jordyn practices from a relational, shame-informed, and holistic lens, taking a collaborative approach that aims to treat the “whole self” of each individual she works with. Her primary goal is to build compassionate and safe therapeutic relationships, creating space for growth, healing, and self-exploration. Jordyn began working in private practice in 2018 and has experience with a wide-range of clients - including pre-teens, adolescents, young adults, and adults. Her areas of specialization include chronic pain/illness, complex/childhood trauma, self-esteem/shame, life transitions, and relational issues. Jordyn is also credentialed as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) and a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist (CSTS).

After a jaunt on the east coast, Jordyn made her way back to Chicago. When the therapist hat comes off, she spends her time incessantly taking photos of her dogs, playing in a local rec sport league, or on a last-minute flight to New Orleans.
