Eleni received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work at Carthage College and completed her Master's Degree in Social Work at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Eleni has a deep passion for working with children, teens, and young adults. She previously worked as a school social worker and gained her certification in CBITS (Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Trauma in Schools). Most recently, Eleni has enjoyed working in the private practice setting where she has treated a range of issues spanning the life-span including depression, anxiety, family-of-origin issues, and life transitions. She is also passionate about working with individuals who have struggled with relationships, low self-esteem/body image issues, and bullying.
Eleni utilizes a client-centered and strengths-based approach that empowers her clients to embrace who they are and what uniquely motivates them. Younger clients enjoy how her creative spirit is infused in her sessions; you can expect to use a variety of crafts to explore and ignite your unique strengths and values. She focuses on integrating treatment modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
In her spare time, Eleni loves spending time with her friends and family. She also loves to watch her favorite TV show, The Office.
